"HELPDESK!" Phishing Email

A phishing email was received today by a subset of UTSA employees. The email had the subject line "HELPDESK!" This email was not sent by UTSA. The email is directing users to log on to the University of Texas news forum.

Phishing Email: "Upgrade Your Account"

UTSA email inboxes are currently receiving spam email with the subject heading: "Upgrade Your Account". This is a phishing email - it is not an official UTSA communication and it falsely states your email account is part of a "violation security breach".

The Office of Information Technology is working to resolve this specific spam email traffic blocked.

Should you receive this phishing email message, DO NOT respond to it. Please delete it immediately.
