Access DEFINE on your Mac
DEFINE on Mac 10.5 (Leopard) or Higher
Download and install the DEFINE client software:
- The DEFINE software application can be found at: "https://rowdyspace.utsa.edu/xythoswfs/webview/_xy-401500_1 (Note: You will be asked to provide UTSA faculty or staff authentication. Use myUTSA ID (abc123) and password to access the file.)
- To download the file (MAC_TN3270.dmg), simply double-click the file and save it to your desktop.
- Double-click the file on your desktop to extract the DEFINE client files. The DEFINE Installer window should appear. Double-click the Installer box icon.
- The DEFINE installer will guide you through the install process. Click Continue.
- Select the disk where you would like to save the DEFINE client files. Click Continue.
- Click Install. (Note: You may be prompted to authenticate with your Macintosh credentials. If so, use your username and password.)
- The installation process begins.
- Once the installation has finished, you will see a green checkmark on the “Successful” screen, and the tn3270 3.2.4 folder window is launched behind the installer. Click Close to exit the installer.
- DEFINE is now installed and can be launched from the Connect to Mainframe icon in the Applications folder named "tn3270 3.2.4"
- You can make an alias of Connect to Mainframe and put it on your desktop for quick access.
