Customize Mac Settings for UTSA Network
If your Mac is connected to the UTSA network by an ethernet cable but is not managed by OITConnect, you may want to check a few simple network settings to ensure that your connection to the UTSA network functions properly.
If necessary, modify the search domain entries in the Network pane of your System Preferences.
Network Settings
Before setting up Entourage 2008, verify that your search domain entry is correct:
- Open System Preferences from the Apple menu or click its icon in the Dock.
- Locate and click Network (under Internet and Wireless).
- A green dot should appear next to the Ethernet service in the list on the left, and you should see "utsarr.net" in light gray letters in the Search Domains field at the lower right corner of the window. If this field is blank, type utsarr.net into the Search Domains field.
- Click Apply at the bottom right.

In certain (non-typical) situations, further network configuration may be necessary. If you believe you need further assistance, contact OITConnect.
