UTSA Faculty and Staff Faculty and Staff

  • Streamlined process saves time and effort

  • Computers will be delivered with the UTSA Software pre-installed (Windows PCs only) and with an inventory tag -- NOTE: this does not apply to lab computers

  • No need for you to take your computer to OITConnect for setup (Windows-based computers only)

  • Pre-installed equipment meets the computing needs of most university applications - nothing more to purchase or install

  • Pricing has been pre-negotiated with vendors to ensure you get the best pricing available

Changes That Will Affect the UTSA Community

  • Ordering a new computer will be a simpler process:

    • To order a new computer, users will access a Web page that will display the available options.

    • Once the user selects a computer, they will print out the price quote (PDF document) for their department's administrative staff, who will order the computer.

    • The orders will be transmitted to the vendor and the computer will be built/shipped.

    • Windows-based computers will arrive with the standard applications already installed.
