Software Licensing Office Benefit
The Software Licensing Office benefits the UTSA community by reducing software costs. The office can leverage high-volume purchasing to reduce the total cost of ownership for faculty and staff users.
Services Offered
The office strives to find the best software prices for departments, faculty, and staff software users at UTSA. This office negotiates pricing with vendors. This office can interpret license agreements and guide users on how specific software is licensed.
Services NOT Offered
This office does not provide all types of software for free across the UTSA campuses. This office does not provide software for home or personal use. UTSA has agreements with several software vendors to sell software to students, faculty, and staff at greatly reduced prices. Please visit the Campus Technology store website for more information.
Integrating the Software Licensing Office into the Software Purchasing Process
Please browse the available software titles from our library that you would like to purchase. Follow the purchase instructions form to purchase and/or have OIT Support Services (Help Desk) install the software title.
Most software titles are available from the Software Licensing Office are free or at a reduced cost. Please contact the Software Licensing Office if the software title is not on the browse list available from this website. The software may still be available from the office at little or reduced cost.
