Internet Use Standard

Network connections and software for accessing the Internet are provided to authorized UTSA students, staff and faculty members for appropriate academic, research and business purposes.

The office of Information Technology makes every effort to secure the environment from harmful exploitation or attack through the Internet.  Departments are expected to provide the same level of protection when implementing applications and systems.

Commercial activities such as advertising are prohibited unless sponsored directly by UTSA.

Users shall not use the Internet connection to perform any act that may be construed as illegal or unethical, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to the network.
