Commencement Broadcast:

Televised Ceremonies

Every semester the UTSA commencement ceremonies are broadcasted live on a local public access channel or education channel. The channel assignment and availability is subject to change, but you should find the broadcast on AT&T U-verse channel 99, Grande channel 21 and Time Warner channel 98.

Additionally, all five ceremonies will be locally telecast live on a big screen on campus in the University Center Retama Auditorium for free. No ticket is required.

The ceremonies will be available for free a few weeks after the broadcast through Time Warner On Demand Channel 988, a file download at the bottom of this page or ordered via the Office of Information Technology. Contact OITConnect for more information.

UTSA will also have a live Webcast of all commencement exercises. The Webcast will be available a few minutes before the ceremony begins by clicking here.

Commencement Availability

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has produced the commencement video for the local in-house monitors, outbound Web stream and full video for broadcast on local public stations for many years.

Graduates are able to request copies of their commencement ceremony a few weeks after the post-production is complete. These files were archived to a DVD ROM and are available from Fall of 2000 to UTSA alumni by request.

We are now offering a free and direct service to UTSA graduates and families of graduates. In order to use this service, you must have a DVD burning program and a DVD burner on your computer. If you do not have a DVD burning program or DVD burner on your computer, this process will not work.

If you have the necessary software and hardware, click on the ceremony below to begin downloading the DVD ISO file image to your computer. After the download is complete, open your DVD burning program and follow directions after selecting the ISO file.

An ISO image is an archive file (also known as a disk image) of an optical disc in a format defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This format is supported by many software vendors.
