Videoconferencing

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) schedules and supports the use of videoconferencing facilities for:

• Teaching

• Research

• Workshops

• Administrative meetings

• Job interviews

• Virtual field trips

We host video conferences in our ITV classrooms and videoconferencing facilities. We can connect you anywhere in the world via ISDN circuits or IP video connections. Video conferences have been conducted around the world to locations including The Canary Islands, Australia, Indonesia, Portugal, England, Canada, Mexico, and China.

Interactive TV (ITV)

ITV classes are transmitted live over the UTSA Video Network. A fiber optic connection allows up to twelve channels of full-motion video to be broadcast simultaneously between our campuses.

Students and Instructors can interact easily between classrooms through automated zoom cameras and "push to talk" microphones located on podiums and desks in each classrooms. Each classroom can view their linked counterpart with large television screens and data projectors.
