UTSA Main Campus Tour Information

These campus tours are intended for individuals, family, and friends interested in visiting The University of Texas at San Antonio.

The Visitor Center invites prospective students and their families to visit the UTSA Main Campus and take a one hour guided, walking tour of the campus. Admissions counselors are available by appointment or during walk in hours (M-F 1-4:30 pm) to address individual specific questions.

The Visitor Center is located in the Multidisciplinary Studies (MS) Building Room 2.02.36-Breezeway of the MS building. Please use the UTSA Blvd. exit on Highway 10 and park in the paid parking garage. Please call our office at 210.458.5145 if you have any questions or concerns.

Parking
Monday – Friday Only: Visitors may obtain parking information by stopping at the South Visitor Booth. The South Visitors Booth is located off of Edward Ximenes (south). The exact location is denoted on the Visitor Brochure which is available by clicking here. Visitors must have a parking permit or be parked in one of the parking garages in designated Visitor parking to avoid any parking citations. The fee for visitors parking on campus is $1.75 an hour for more information click here

The Visitor Booth is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Tours for prospective students are Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

***If you are not going to RSVP for a tour, please contact the Visitor Center office at 210.458.5145 to ensure that tours for the day you want to visit are still scheduled. Occasionally, tour times may not be available. ***

Excuse Letter Policy
UTSA welcomes high school students to our university! Institution registrar offices may require visiting students to have paperwork turned in to their prospective attendance or registrar’s offices to receive an absence credit from class (credit for a college visit day).
The UTSA Visitor Center will provide a visit letter as part of our visit policy. This document is signed by the Assistant Director of Admissions or other appropriate UTSA official. This document is on official UTSA letterhead, and will have the exact day and time of the visit. This document also has contact information on it, in the case that a registrar would like to verify a visit to campus. UTSA Visitor Center will not sign or make official any document that the student(s) present from their institution.
There are NO exceptions to this policy.
College visit letters will not be printed after 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
To receive a college visit letter the student(s) must:                                                                             

  • Complete a registration/visit card at the Visitor Center on the day of the visit or register online for a tour time slot.
  • Must complete the entire tour of campus accompanied by our UTSA Tour Guide.

UTSA Main Campus High School Group Information:

Special groups, high schools, and outreach programs:

UTSA welcomes many groups on campus every year. A group visit to UTSA is typically about a 2-3 hour experience, depending on accommodations. If you are interested in bringing your prospective group to campus please see details below:

  • Group tours are offered on Mondays or Fridays, 9am or 1pm
  • Group tours are not offered on a Saturday or Sunday
  • Group tours are scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance
  • Our office accommodates groups of 20-100 high school or transfer students only
  • Please note that group tours are offered through special reservations only
  • Please contact the Visitor Center to schedule your visit at 210.458.5143.

  • For elementary, middle school, or junior high school groups, please contact the Office of P-20 Initiatives at 210.458.2769.  This office serves all middle school and elementary groups with visiting the university.
